This Privacy Policy describes how Silas Fitness ("App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Profile information: Name, age, height, weight, fitness goals, training preferences, dietary restrictions
• Workout data: Exercise logs, sets, reps, weights, workout duration, RPE ratings
• Nutrition data: Meal logs, calorie and macro tracking, barcode scans, food photos
• Chat messages: Conversations with the AI coach
• Photos: Food photos and barcode images submitted for analysis

Information from HealthKit

With your permission, the App reads:

• Date of birth, biological sex, height, weight
• Heart rate, resting heart rate, HRV
• Active energy burned, basal energy burned
• Sleep analysis data
• Workout history

HealthKit data is used solely to provide personalized fitness and nutrition coaching. We do not sell, share, or use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing purposes.

Information Collected Automatically

• Basic app usage analytics (feature usage, crash reports)
• Device type and operating system version

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide personalized workout plans and nutrition guidance
• Track your fitness progress and recovery
• Generate AI coaching responses
• Improve the App's features and performance

3. AI Processing

Your data is processed by third-party AI services to provide coaching features:

• Text messages and photos you send to the AI coach are transmitted to Anthropic (our AI provider) for processing
• Anthropic processes this data to generate responses and does not retain your data for training purposes
• We send only the information necessary to generate relevant coaching responses

4. Data Storage

• On-device: Your workout data, nutrition logs, preferences, and chat history are stored locally on your device
• iCloud: If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account under your control
• We do not maintain server-side databases of your personal fitness data
• AI processing: Data sent to Anthropic for AI processing is transmitted securely and is not permanently stored by Anthropic

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except:

• AI processing: As described above, data is sent to Anthropic to provide coaching features
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or legal process
• App Store: Apple collects certain data through the App Store, governed by Apple's privacy policy

6. Data Retention and Deletion

• Your data remains on your device and in your iCloud account as long as you use the App
• You can delete your data at any time through the App's Settings → Reset Profile
• Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data
• To delete iCloud data, remove the App's iCloud storage in your device settings

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your data during transmission to AI services, including HTTPS encryption. However, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data
• Object to certain processing
• Export your data
